Amelanchier lamarckii is a small deciduous tree of the rose family (Rosaceae); with silky-soft leaves that are bronze-coloured at first and dark green later. The leaves are oval to broad elliptical with a light grey-green underside, in autumn they turn a beautiful orange to dark red. Blooms with white flowers in clusters of eight (April May), later followed by edible berries.
